Abbadia di Fiastra Nature Reserve
The Abbadia di Fiastra Nature Reserve was set up to protect lands that belonged to the Cistercian monks and which they shaped over the course of the centuries. Here you can savour a welcoming, harmonious environment, which benefits from a well-balanced relationship between man and nature. Chiaravalle Fiastra Abbey conjures up an evocative spiritual atmosphere.
Frasassi Caves
105 Km from La Risacca Family Camping Village, within the Gola della Rossa and Frasassi Regional Nature Park, you will find the underground Karst cave system known as Grotte di Frasassi. One of the chambers, called the Ancona Abyss, is so big Milan Cathedral could easily fit inside it.
Monti Sibillini National Park
The Park covers an area over 70,000 hectares shaped by the forces of nature and is imbibed with thousands of years of history and culture. This is a highly particular environment and still today the magical presence of the legendary prophetess Sibyl can be felt, while the memories of ancient rites and evocative legends still linger in the air… A must visit if mystical adventures appeal to you.
Gran Sasso and Monte della Laga National Park
To the south of the Monti Sibillini, beyond the gorges hewn out by the Tronto River, rise the Monti della Laga, the mountains in the most northerly area of the National Park, which include the Gran Sasso massif.
