Conero Regional Park, a full immersion into Nature
Very close to La Risacca Family Camping Village, along the Adriatic coast, is one of Italy’s most beautiful natural settings, the Conero Regional Park, a true paradise for birdwatchers! The Park features high cliffs dropping sheer to the sea and nature trails with truly stunning panoramic views and magnificent vistas, for sensations you won’t easily forget.
Fiastra Abbey Nature Reserve
Fiastra Abbey Nature Reserve was set up to protect lands that belonged to the Cistercian monks and which they shaped over the course of the centuries. Here it is still possible to enjoy a cosy and harmonious atmosphere that is an expression of a balanced relationship between human beings and nature. The Abbey of Chiaravalle di Fiastra conjures up an evocative spiritual atmosphere.
The Frasassi Caves
105 Km from La Risacca Family Camping Village, inside the Natural Regional Park of Gola della Rossa and Frasassi, you will find the underground karst caves known as the Frasassi Caves. One of the chambers, called the Abisso Ancona, is large enough to hold the Milan cathedral without any problems.
The Sibillini Mountains National Park
The Park covers an area over 70,000 hectares shaped to the forces of nature and painted by thousands of years of history and culture. This is a highly particular environment and still today the magical presence of the legendary prophetess Sibyl can be felt, while the memories of ancient rites and evocative legends still linger in the air… Not to be missed if mystical adventures appeal to you.
The Gran Sasso and Laga Mountains National Park
You are further south than the Sibillini Mountains, beyond the gorges hewn out by the Tronto River, where Laga Mountains rise, which represent the most northerly area of the National Park, including the Gran Sasso massif. Admire the enormous richness and diversity of the flora and vegetation, which is to be found, if you are daring enough, at the highest altitudes.
