Built in the 14th century by the Acquaviva d’Atri families, it is situated on a hilltop 365 metres above sea level, in what in the past was an extremely important position. It affords truly spectacular panoramic views.
Numana, Sirolo and environs
Numana is a small town divided into two parts, one on the hillside and one on the plain near the harbour. Sirolo, known as the “pearl of the Adriatic”, is a medieval village standing on cliffs overlooking the sea. Both are perfect destinations for a tour with your dog. On the Conero Riviera dogs are not permitted to go in the water, but they are allowed access to the Musone and Potenza rivers.
